TOC4U is a website maintained by Richard Smal, I was based on the Beautiful East coast of South Africa, in Botha’s Hill (+- 30 km inland from Durban (Ethekwini), on one of the 1000 hills in this area. We have now moved to the south of the Netherlands (Oirschot, Noord Brabant) , close to my roots, where we are closer to friends and family.

TOC4U was started by Richard Smal in 1994 distributing and implementing simulation software. Next to an interest in finite scheduling and ERP solutions, the primary passion is implementing and supporting the Theory of Constraints solutions, developed by Dr. Eli Goldratt.

Theory of Constraints

We support the Implementation of a holistic Process Of OnGoing Improvement (POOGI) based in the Theory of Constraints. The company is an implementation partner of Goldratt Consulting International, and is TOC-ICO certified in the area’s of: Holistic Strategy, Thinking Processes, Operations, Project management and Distribution. We can develop a viable vision for your company based on the viable vision process developed by Dr. Eli Goldratt and provide training, facilitation, turn-key and project management services in implementing the Theory of Constraints. An extensive list of clients and related experience is available on request. We have now also developed the opportunity tracker software(OTT), a tool to support implementation of constraint thinking in sales. It supports both the sales representative (what do I need to get the deal), and sales management (where do I need to focus, to remove constraints in the available opportunities)

ERP implementation and Program management services

Information Technology in any company is “Necessary but not sufficient”. We have implemented a number of ERP systems in different environments. In order to get the maximum benefit from your investments we must ensure that we use the leverage that technology provides. This means a full understanding how technology can diminish existing limitations, and if necessary, change the rules and policies that were in place before we implemented new technology. If the new technology does not diminish and existing limitation (or create new opportunities), what benefit do you expect from you (expensive) investment. We have now extended the logic and applied this to ERP and CRM. An environment where the majority of implementations fail to deliver the desired results.
